Degree programs in the Department of Kinesiology prepare students to make an impact on people's health across a variety of situations and life stages. Underlying the student's preparation is the Department's culture of research that seeks to go beyond explaining how to understanding why.
Undergraduate Programs
Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science
Examine the body's physiological responses to exercise. Three degree tracks are available, Clinical & Applied Physiology, Health Fitness & Wellness, and Motor & Rehabilitation Sciences.
Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology
This degree is offered as Physical Education Teacher Education, leading to Texas Teacher Certification, and a Kinesiology Sports Leadership and Management option.
Bachelor of Science in Public Health
Grounded in science and the study of human health, the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) program will provide students multiple coursework and practice-based learning opportunities to explore the effects of urbanization on population health.
Interested in Athletic Training? By 2022, only Master's degrees will be offered by CAATE-accredited programs of Athletic Training. We encourage high schoolers interested in Athletic Training to consider our undergraduate programs listed above, which will offer an excellent preparation for UTA's MSAT.
