UTA’s Eco Map illustrates all sustainability related locations and programs on campus such as the compost site, Maverick Pantry, and ZipCars. This interactive map was designed to show alignment of various programs on campus to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (U.N. SDGs), which are 17 global initiatives encompassing education, human rights, public health, community development, and economic growth. The SDGs are an urgent call to action that UTA is answering by fostering partnerships, leading in research, addressing inequities, and fighting climate change. UTA’s leadership is evident in the 2022 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, which assess universities against the U.N. SDGs. We ranked eighth among American colleges and universities. This place-based representation of UTA’s work across campus demonstrates the collaborative and multidisciplinary future of our sustainability leadership.
