The STARR Lab collaborates with community partners to ensure that its research is relevant, accessible, and impactful. Engagement activities include hosting workshops, conducting focus groups, and participating in coalition meetings across North Texas. These efforts foster bi-directional learning, promote mutual capacity-building, and ensure the translation of research findings into community practice.

The STARR Lab is committed to serving the DFW community and beyond through meaningful partnerships and collaborations. We are opening a call for nominations to the STARR Lab Community Advisory Board. The Community Advisory Board will consist of professionals, community leaders, adolescents, young adults, and parents who can help guide the lab’s efforts to bridge the research–practice gap and ensure our work reflects the needs of the communities we serve.
