Leading People Credential

The Leading People Credential is a dynamic leadership development program designed for individual contributors with at least six months of service at UTA. Through a collaborative cohort experience, orange and blue award that says People Leader Credential participants will explore the foundational skills and knowledge needed to grow as emerging supervisors. While completing the program does not guarantee a supervisory role, it provides valuable preparation for those interested in pursuing an entry-level leadership position in the future.

This program is an opportunity to strengthen your leadership potential, build confidence, and connect with peers across campus as you take the first steps on your leadership journey.

Program Outcome and Considerations

  • Graduates of the program will be granted credit equivalent to two years of supervisory experience, which can be used to satisfy the minimum qualifications for internal entry-level supervisory positions.
  • This credit will be considered during the evaluation of applicants during the recruitment process to determine if they meet basic supervisory requirements.
  • Program completion does not impact compensation and does not guarantee a promotion or placement into a supervisory role.
  • Participation in the program enhances core leadership skills, provides valuable networking opportunities, and strengthens your professional resume and career development.
