Every search is unique. To support varying recruitment needs, Talent Acquisition offers multiple levels of service designed to provide flexibility throughout the hiring process.

Service Update: As we transition to PeopleSoft Recruiting, application reviews, phone screenings, and sourcing support are temporarily paused. Position advertising, LinkedIn promotion, and social media outreach remain available. Updates on these services will be shared in Fall 2026.

Talent Acquisition reviews applications based on the posted minimum qualifications and provides recommendations for candidates who meet the established requirements.

Best For:
Departments seeking support with the first round of candidate evaluation.

Talent Acquisition reviews applications, conducts initial candidate screenings, and provides a qualified candidate pool for departmental consideration.

Best For:
Departments that would like additional support managing candidate evaluations and interview preparation.

Talent Acquisition partners with departments to develop customized sourcing and recruitment strategies for difficult-to-fill, failed, or highly specialized searches.

Best For:
Positions experiencing limited applicant activity or requiring a more targeted recruitment approach.

Internal Recruitment

Internal Recruitment

Internal recruitment limits applicant consideration to current UTA employees.

Key Considerations

  • Positions should generally be posted internally for a minimum of five business days.
  • Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications listed in the job posting.
  • Departments should review the Employee Transfer Policy (HR-E-PO-16) prior to interviewing current employees.
  • Internal postings may be expanded to external recruitment if additional candidate pools are needed.

External Recruitment

External Recruitment

External recruitment allows departments to consider both current UTA employees and external applicants.

Key Considerations

  • Positions should generally remain posted for five to ten business days.
  • Extended posting periods may increase visibility and applicant volume.
  • Recruitment timelines may vary based on market conditions, position requirements, and candidate availability.
