Families & Guest Orientation

Welcome to the Maverick Family!

Families and guests are valued members of our Maverick family. New Maverick Orientation is the first step in the exciting new journey for you and your student. The Family & Guest Orientation is designed to acquaint you with the University and all it has to offer.

The Family & Guest Orientation occurs simultaneously with the new student's program. While your student is required to attend New Maverick Orientation, the family & guest experience is optional, but highly encouraged.

What You Can Expect at Family & Guest Orientation:

  • Discover how you can stay connected to UTA and support your student
  • Learn about campus resources, academic expectations, and involvement opportunities
  • Ask questions of current students, faculty, and staff
  • Meet other family members

You can add or edit guests attending Family & Guest Orientation by returning to the student’s Orientation reservation and making this change. 

Parent and Family Services

UTA recognizes that family members play a vital role in their student’s success. The Office of Parent & Family Services was created to keep families informed and involved in their student’s college experience. Check out their website for more information.

Refund Policy

Please be advised that in order to receive a refund, requests must be submitted a minimum of 7 days prior to the scheduled Orientation or Maventure Camp session. This time frame is essential as it allows us to finalize accurate attendee counts and logistical arrangements. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy. If your refund is for Orientation, email Orientation@uta.edu. If it is for Maventure Camp, please email Maventure@uta.edu.
