Register with Testing Services to take the assessment at UTA.
Testing ServicesAll students are required to complete the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) prior to attending orientation, as stipulated by the State of Texas. If this requirement is not complete you will be unable to register for classes at orientation. You can find your TSI status in your Student Center in MyMav or on your orientation registration confirmation email. To learn about the TSI requirement and options for completing it, please visit the TSI website. If you have questions about your TSI status, email the University Advising Center at tsi@uta.edu. If you need to take the TSI Assessment, utilize one of the following options:

email testingTo support students’ success in their math classes, UTA utilizes math placement assessment tests to determine your appropriate math placement. To ensure proper academic advisement for your degree, the math placement assessments must be completed prior to your academic advising appointment. Visit the Math Department website to learn more.
