Freshman Advising & Registration
All freshmen are advised through the University Advising Center. After you register for orientation and complete your pre-orientation modules, your advisor will contact regarding any testing requirements which need completion and provide you with a link to register for a 20-minute virtual advising appointment. During your advising appointment, please have any transcripts of dual credit coursework or test score results (AP, IB, etc.) on hand.
Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor prior to your schedule Orientation session. Advising will be available at orientation for those who are not able to complete their appointment in advance, but are strongly encouraged to take advantage of advising in advance of their scheduled session.
Course registration is available for students at Orientation. Your Orientation hold will be removed in time for you to register at the end of day two. To be eligible to enroll in your classes, you must complete the pre-orientation modules, meet with your academic advisor, and clear any other registration holds on your MyMav account. Visit the instructions in the class registration tutorial video.
Orientation Leaders and staff will be available on site at orientation to assist with the registration process should you need it.
