Transfer Advising & Registration

Academic Advising

Academic advising is required for all new transfer students and should be completed prior to attending your orientation session to ensure the most efficient course registration process at orientation. Every transfer student comes to UTA at a unique place in their college career, so your first advising appointment is important to understand where you are in your degree completion at UTA.

ADVISING FOR STUDENTS UNDECLARED OR UNDER 30 HOURS

Students who haven't declared a major and students who transfer in less than 30 credits, please contact the University Advising and Engagement Center at 817-272-3140 or uac@uta.edu to make an appointment.

Transcript Evaluation

During your advising session, your advisor will need to review all of your previous transcripts and test scores. Transcript evaluation takes time, so please provide several days for our Admissions Office to process your transcript before meeting with your advisor. If you have questions about the status of your transcript evaluation, please contact the Admissions Office at 817-272-6287 or by clicking here
