Veteran Orientation Schedule

Schedule

New Maverick Veteran Orientation is designed specifically for those students who are transitioning to UTA after previous military service. Making new friends, asking questions of the Maverick Orientation Leaders, and learning how things work at UT Arlington will help make your transition much easier.

If you are starting classes in summer or fall semester, your orientation will consist of two parts: online pre-orientation modules and a live orientation program. The pre-orientation modules will be available in early April and introduce you to various aspects of UTA. Our live orientations will occur throughout the late-spring and summer, and they are filled to the brim with information and networking. Veteran Orientation is a one-day program (8:00 a.m.-3:00p.m.).

For summer 2021, you have the option of attending orientation virtually or face-to-face on the UTA campus. Choose the orientation date that best works with your schedule and your comfort level. However, the face-to-face orientation is HIGHLY encouraged, and UTA will provide that experience in the safest manner possible. Our safety plan for face-to-face orientations will be shared on our website in April, and it will explain how the program is designed to occur under the local and federal guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic.
