Transfer credits for undergraduate level social work courses may, at the discretion of the Director of Undergraduate Programs, be accepted by the School of Social Work from comparable coursework taken and passed with a grade of ‘C’ or better at another CSWE accredited program within the last six years. UTA transcript evaluators will allocate transfer credit, and the Director of Undergraduate Programs may approve additional transfer courses for credit in collaboration with the academic advisor. Students will be expected to provide syllabi for review. At least 25% of the degree has to be completed at UTA .
Please visit the Office of the Registrar website for more information.
UTA provides an interactive Transfer Evaluation System (TES) equivalency guide tool to help prospective transfer students assess which credits earned at current or former college-level institutions may transfer to UT Arlington. UTA will provide an official transfer credit evaluation after you apply and are admitted to the University. There may be some additional requirements specific for BSW students.
For prospective BSW transfer students and applicants, review the degree plan for our BSW program. If you are a recently admitted or current student, please review the degree plan and meet with your academic advisor for official determination of how your transfer credits will apply to your degree plan. Also, review the UTA Transfer Requirements and UTA Transfer Guides webpages.
