The Administrative Leadership Certificate prepares students to effectively lead organizations, thus positively impacts clients. The certificate provides students with training in program development, program leadership, and supervision of program staff.

Administrative Leadership Certificate

The Administrative Leadership Certificate prepares students to effectively lead organizations, thus positively impacts clients. The certificate provides students with training in program development, program leadership, and supervision of program staff.
This certificate prepares direct practice students to move into leadership roles within their organizations. Program creation, direction, and staff supervision are key in effective program leadership. Examples of positions include Program Director, Services Coordinator, or Agency Director.

Individuals who already hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work with a GPA of 3.0 or higher can apply for this graduate certificate. If an applicant has a bachelor’s degree in a different field, they must have at least 2 years of related professional experience and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

For students currently in the MSW program at the time of enrollment in the graduate certificate program, the admission requirement is to be in good standing, as defined by the MSW program, including a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Current BSW students are not eligible.
