Stacie Ellis

Stacie Ellis has a passion for helping others reach their health potential. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Licensed Dietitian, she specializes in weight management; performance nutrition for recreational, sports, and dance; medical nutrition therapy for conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, malnutrition, and gastrointestinal disorders (to name a few); and also skin nutrition for acne.  Whether you are trying to lose weight, gain muscle mass, or just become healthy, Stacie has the expertise to help you on your journey.

Stacie is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Texas Woman’s University in the Nutrition Department with a minor in Kinesiology.  Her research interest involves looking at the effects of a high carb diet versus a moderately high-fat diet on dancer’s performance.  Stacie received her first Bachelors of Science degree in Science Composite with an emphasis in Geology and a minor in Secondary Education from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. She became a high school science teacher at Shoemaker High School in Killeen, TX where she taught Chemistry, Integrated Physics, and Chemistry, and Earth and Space Science to grades 9th-12th before returning to school to study nutrition.  Upon returning to school she attended Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas and graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Post Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. There she also completed her Dietetic Internship and her Master's Degree in Nutrition. Her thesis was on the effects of using an Athlete’s Plate for Easy Training/ Weight Management on a dancer's body composition and overall health. In addition, Stacie has completed the Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management Program on June 4 - 6, 2015. 

Stacie previously served as a Clinical Dietitian at First Texas Hospital, Texas General Hospital, and American Health Assessments, where she provided medical nutrition therapy to patients with various conditions. She served as the Chief Nutrition Officer for Vitafive, a gummy vitamin company, where she provided nutritional input in product development, and wrote blogs and newsletters for customers.  She provided her nutritional expertise as a consultant for Just Train, a celebrity personal trainer to stars such as Kevin Hart, Ne-yo, and Christina Milian, and she was a partner with Honeymoon Body, a vendor for Brides of North Texas that provided an online site for brides to get information on how to prepare for their wedding day, including nutrition, physical activity, and beauty tips. She was also a part of the AmeriCorp where she worked with the Cooking Matters Program at the North Texas Food Bank where she coordinated and taught cooking classes geared to healthy eating for low-income communities.
