Capstone Project Binding

Capstone Project Binding

The Honors College will bind Capstone projects for students. Once a Capstone project has final approval, students who wish to have their projects bound must provide the Honors College with two copies for binding—one copy is for the student, and one is for the Carolyn A. Barros (CAB) Honors College Reading Room.

Copies must comply with the following guidelines:

  • Each copy must be printed (single-sided) on acid-free, 25% cotton, 20-lb white paper (this can be found in any office supply store). If you have problems finding the exact paper, something comparable will work. Also, paper with a watermark is perfectly acceptable as well.
  • This is an important achievement and one you should be proud of. With this in mind, do not print the binding copies in draft, economy, or grayscale as this distracts from the overall project.
  • Place each copy in a separate manila clasp envelope. Make sure the envelope is large enough to accommodate your project without crimping any of the pages.
  • Do not clip, staple, or bind the pages together in any way, as this will also crimp the pages and can easily be seen in the bound project.
  • Print your name clearly and boldly with a marker on the outside of each envelope and underline the last name that you want to be stamped on the spine of the book.

Bring your copies to the Honors College and give them to one of the advisers. After the copies have been bound, the student's copy will be mailed to the address in MyMav—be sure this is up to date, especially if you are graduating.
