Complete TSI Clearance

The Texas Success Initiative has been developed by the state legislature to ensure student success at institutions of higher education. TSI requires that all incoming students enrolling at Texas public institutions of higher education be assessed academically to determine their level of college-readiness in Reading, Writing, and Math. Submitting your SAT/ACT scores may help you complete your TSI requirements.

How to register for TSI

Follow these helpful steps to register for TSI.

2. Choose a Group

Select "TSIA2". This is the appropriate and only choice for TSI.

Choose Your Exam Status

Since you have accepted your admission to UTA, you will select "TSAI2 for UTA Students".

4. Choose an Exam

TSI covers Mathematics, Reading (ELRA MC) and Writing (Essay). Choose the exam that is required for you. If you need all three sections, select "Whole Test-All Sections." You do have the option of taking the TSI at-home or in-person at UTA Campus.

In-Person Scheduling & Testing Option

If you registered for an in-person exam choose a date and time that is available. After you have selected your date and time you will need to enter required information. Once you have completed the form, select add to cart and proceed to process your payment. Make sure to select "Complete Registration" to finalize the scheduling of your exam. You will receive an email confirmation of the receipt which you will need to show at the time of your selected test.

At-Home Scheduling & Testing Option

If you choose to take the TSI exam online you will need to schedule your exam with Examity Online Proctoring after your request has been processed. You will also need to pay an online proctoring fee starting at $25. Once UTA approves your request to take the test, you will receive information to schedule your proctor and exam.
