Testing Policies and Procedures

These policies and procedures are the basic requirements at the UTA Testing Center. Please refer to the test page for specific requirements for that exam.

Cancellations and Modifications must be made more than 24hrs in advance of your appointment. To cancel an appointment within 24hrs you must call our office at (817)272-2362. Please be advised that cancellations made during the 24hr period will result in a loss of all fees paid. Those wishing to modify within 24hrs must book a new appointment and repay.

Cancellations made before the 24hr notice period can be refunded. The refund will be the amount paid minus all credit card processing fees (up to $7).

You should report to the ‘testing location’ (listed in your RegisterBlast confirmation) at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the appointment.

You must provide a valid ID to be admitted to the exam (some tests require two forms of ID, please refer to the test page for further instructions on required forms of identification).

Valid ID with photo identification must be physically present and current. You will not be admitted to the test without proper identification.

Fees vary by test and must be paid when you schedule the appointment.

How to reschedule your exam:

  • CLICK THE MY ACCOUNT/MY EXAMS/MY HISTORY TAB AT THE TOP OF THE SCHEDULING PAGE.
  • ENTER THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU USED TO INITIALLY SCHEDULE YOUR EXAM
  • CLICK THE CONTINUE BUTTON UNDERNEATH THE EMAIL FIELD
  • IN A FEW MINUTES, YOU'LL RECEIVE AN EMAIL LINK WHICH VALID FOR 90 MINUTES.
  • CLICK THE LINK FROM THE EMAIL RECEIVED.
  • A NEW WINDOW WILL OPEN WITH YOUR REGISTRATION HISTORY.
  • CLICK THE RESCHEDULE LINK.
  • A CALENDAR WILL APPEAR WITH THE AVAILABLE DATES FOR RESCHEDULING PURPOSES.
  • CLICK THE DATE AND TIME TO RESCHEDULE.
  • AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE STEP ABOVE, YOU WILL RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL NOTIFYING YOU OF THE NEW TEST DATE.

Due to requirements set by the Testing Companies, all students must leave all personal belongings in their car or put them in lockers that are provided (free of charge) in the testing center. Examples …

  • ELECTRONIC DEVICES SUCH AS CELL PHONES, PAGERS, PDAS, IPODS, CAMERAS, FLASH DRIVES, WATCHES, FITBITS, ETC.
  • BACKPACKS, BAGS OR PURSES
  • BOOKS, NOTES, FORMULA SHEETS, PAPERS OR ANY OTHER ITEMS NOT PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY THE INSTRUCTOR
  • HATS
  • FOOD OR DRINK

Any student found with a cell phone or other electronic device in the test room will be dismissed, test canceled, fees forfeited and the student will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct.

Registration for all exams can be found here on our scheduling site: UTA Testing Services scheduling site. UTA students must provide their 10-digit UTA ID number to register.

Testers, in the event of a name change additional proof of identification accompanying a valid government ID will be required i.e. marriage license, divorce decree, birth certificate etc.

IF YOU REQUIRE ACCOMMODATIONS IN TAKING AN EXAMINATION, THEY MUST BE APPROVED IN ADVANCE.

NON UTA STUDENTS: CONTACT THE TEST COMPANY DIRECTLY, PRIOR TO THE DESIRED TEST DATE, TO ARRANGE ACCOMMODATIONS. IF YOU HAVE DOCUMENTATION ON FILE AT YOUR SCHOOL, PLEASE CONTACT THEM TO REQUEST THAT YOUR CURRENT ACCOMMODATIONS BE PROVIDED TO OUR OFFICE AT TESTING@UTA.EDU
