COVID-19 Outreach Initiative with SSW

Division of Student Success partners with UTA's  School of Social Work in a COVID-19 Outreach Initiative

The UTA School of Social Work and the Division of Student Success have created the COVID-19 Initiative to assist UTA students and those in the community that have needs due to the pandemic or otherwise. The creation of this initiative aligns with the goal in the Division of Student Success of helping students complete their studies, while providing Social Work Interns the ability to have a meaningful field placement.

School of Social Work Interns will provide basic case management, referrals, university and community resources, support with online courses, support with isolation, and assistance with other issues that may arise as students and clients work together with the intern. Further, interns will host support groups and virtual workshops for UTA students (more information regarding this will be available soon). All interns have signed a confidentiality form to ensure privacy for students and others being assisted. Interns will be reaching out to students to offer assistance starting September 9, 2020. Please take advantage of this wonderful support and assistance from the School of Social Work and the Division of Student Success.

If you need assistance, or if you would like to refer someone to the Initiative for assistance, please email us at SSWCOVID19HELP@uta.edu.
