Academic Support Programs/Services

Tutoring
Many general education and engineering courses are supplemented with tutorial support in the University’s Academic Success Center. Schedule an appointment with a tutor.
Academic Success Coaching
Academic success coaches help undergraduate students with academic skills and college-life management skills applicable to a variety of subjects and situations. Coaches will work individually with students to do an assessment of learning to identify each student's unique needs.
Supplemental Instruction
In addition to tutoring, which is more individualized assistance with courses, the University also offers support in group settings for specific courses -- what is known as Supplemental Instruction. In these peer-facilitated group sessions, trained student leaders attend class with UTA students and engage them with course content. Sessions are FREE and open to all students enrolled in the course. Learn more about supplemental instruction.
