The UTA College of Business Hall of Fame and Alumni Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements and lasting impact of our distinguished alumni and business leaders. These prestigious awards recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and service within their industries and communities, while exemplifying the values of The University of Texas at Arlington. Each year, we honor those whose professional and personal accomplishments inspire future generations of Mavericks to strive for excellence.

Awards & Recognition

Highest award bestowed by the College of Business. This recognition is presented to individuals who have demonstrated distinguished and outstanding accomplishments throughout their lifetime in their field or profession. Individuals recognized for this honor have been supportive of the College of Business and its mission post-graduation and have conducted themselves, both professionally and personally, in a manner that reflect the outstanding qualities expected of a College of Business alumnus. Specific criteria for induction into the College of Business Hall of Fame include a demonstrated and outstanding:

  • Contribution to society in general by their exemplary humanitarian, civic and philanthropic activities. 
  • Demonstrated philanthropic giving and/or significant support to the College of Business or The University of Texas at Arlington.
  • Outstanding professional contribution to the business community. 
  • High personal traits of morality, integrity, and citizenship. 
  • Effective and long-time leadership role. 
  • Accomplishment and expertise in at least one area. 
  • The candidate agrees to attend the event.

Nominees must be an alumnus/alumna, ex-student, former College of Business faculty and/or a truly outstanding and long-term supporter of the College of Business or The University of Texas at Arlington.

To be eligible for the award, nominations must be received by January 31, 2025.
All nominations will remain active for a period of three years.

This award is given to College of Business graduates who emulate the qualities of leadership, achievement, integrity, resiliency, innovation, and community service that defines a true Trailblazer. Graduates should demonstrate outstanding accomplishments in their field or profession and whose conduct reflect the outstanding qualities expected as a College of Business alumnus. Criteria for the Trailblazer Award include:

  • Holding or held exceptional, impactful, and long-time leadership role(s). 
  • Displayed high personal traits or morality, integrity, and citizenship.
  • Exhibited resilience in overcoming challenges and adversity in their career. 
  • Demonstrated innovative thinking and introduce new ideas, products, or methods in their field. 
  • Outstanding professional contribution to the business community. 
  • The candidate agrees to attend the event.

Nominees must be an alumnus/alumna, ex-student, former College of Business faculty and/or a truly outstanding and long-term supporter of the College of Business or The University of Texas at Arlington. To be eligible for the award, nominations must be received by January 31, 2025. All nominations will remain active for a period of three years.





This award recognizes individuals who, in the early stages of their professional, entrepreneurial, academic, public sector or service careers have achieved outstanding success in their field. This individual serves as a role model to our students for making great strides early in their professional career and have helped strengthen the College of Business alumni network. These graduates will be consummate professionals because of their achievement, leadership, community involvement and loyalty to the College of Business. Criteria for consideration for the Maverick Award include:

  • Successful career advancement demonstrated by holding or have held professional position(s) with a demonstrated record of achievement
    through promotions, commendations, awards, or other
    acknowledgements.
  • Demonstrated high potential to become an exceptional business or civic leader or innovator.
  • Be active member of their community.
  • Service to the College of Business or The University of Texas at Arlington
  • The candidate agrees to attend the event. 

Nominees must be an alumnus/alumna, ex-student, former College of Business faculty and/or a truly outstanding and long-term supporter of the College of Business or The University of Texas at Arlington. This award is given to individuals or organizations who have provided the College of Business with extraordinary service and have made a positive impact on the College or it’s programs. This award may be given to any individual, organization and or business that has provided the College of Business with truly outstanding service that results in the betterment of the College, its programs, students, or the community.

To be eligible for the award, nominations must be received by January 31, 2025. All nominations will remain active for a period of three years.
