The Goolsby Leadership Academy was originally established in 2003 as a junior/senior leadership program for business students. This two year cohort program is the second component of the Academy and became the Goolsby EMERGING LEADER Program as the Academy expanded its offerings to lower classmen. Scholars learn to develop and implement strong leadership skills, such as decision making, project management, critical thinking, ethics and personal integrity.
During their tenure with the Academy, scholars will interact with distinguished business faculty and executives who inspire, share their wisdom and mentor the scholars.
The three Academy core values serve as a foundation for all we do.

Program Details
Admission Criteria
- Minimum two years remaining to graduation
- Declared business major
- Enrolled full time
- Continuing UTA students must have a 3.1 GPA
- Incoming transfer students must have a 3.5 transfer GPA
