Why did you choose to attend UTA?
I choose UTA because of the music department; they really made me feel welcome! It was like we were a little family and I liked that because the community college that I came from had the same kind of vibe. So when I was looking for schools I wanted to make sure that it had that same concept.
What is your favorite thing about the College of Education at UTA?
I like how we have so many different areas that you can pick to choose for certification and how helpful the advisers are because with out them we would be lost.
Who is your favorite professor? Why?
My favorite professor is Dr. Wayman, Why you ask is because he is like a mentor to me. He tells me how it is without sugar coding it and he tells me that he sees so much potential in me. He just really good mentor to talk to about the music education field.
What activities do you participate in outside of class?
I’m a server at Olive Garden!
What are your plans after you graduate?
My plans after graduating will be getting my masters in vocal jazz performance at NYU.
What is the one thing you think a prospective Education student needs to know?
A prospective Education student should know that whatever field they desire to partake in, that it takes time and not to rush their experience.
