Job Description
- Create draft concepts of floor plans and elevations in CAD that meet the price point and demographic needs of each community
- Meet with Sales, Purchasing, and Executive Management to review and modify concepts for maximum design appeal, livability, and cost efficiency
- Develop complete Construction Documents of plans, elevations, and details to meet the requirements of Purchasing, Estimating, Municipalities, and subcontractors
- Develop framing plans for lumber estimates
- Work with Starts Coordinator to prepare “lot specific” plans with selected options and details as required by local municipalities for permitting process
- Create plot plans for each house to properly fit on an individual lot within building lines and easements
- Lead “Prototype Walk” when a new plan is built to make necessary “as-built” adjustments to the floor plan, elevation plan, and estimates
Other duties:
- Review and evaluate GHHB plans for meeting the design requirements of community CC&R’s and Planned Developments (PD’s)
- Communicate with Sales Team, developers, vendors and local municipalities on plan updates, questions, and modifications
- Produce sales drawings and CAD files for Marketing to create Marketing Renderings/Collateral
- Create Lot Fit Book and home templates for Sales
- Maintain master plan files and Plan Catalogue
