Detailed description of position:

SLI Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Architect to join our growing design-build team. This position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about architecture, leadership, client relationships, and producing high-quality construction documents.

We are looking for an experienced architect who can confidently lead projects from concept through construction while working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams. This is an opportunity to play a significant role in a fast-growing company with long-term leadership potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary architectural point of contact for clients throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Lead projects from conceptual design through construction administration while ensuring the original design intent is maintained.
  • Coordinate an integrate architectural, structural, MEP, and consultant information into complete construction documents.
  • Prepare and oversee schematic design, design development, permits, and construction drawings including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.
  • Perform site evaluations, field measurements, and existing condition assessments.
  • Manage project schedules, design deadlines, and team coordination to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Mentor and oversee junior architectural staff and support their professional development.
  • Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and construction meetings.
  • Review drawings for quality assurance, code compliance, constructability, and coordination.
  • Collaborate closely with SLI construction and estimating teams in a fast-paced design-build environment.
  • Help maintain a high standard of professionalism, communication, and client service.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Degree in Architecture.
  • 5+ years of architectural experience required.
  • Licensed Architect preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
  • Strong profiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience producing complete construction documents for commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and applicable building codes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience coordinating consultants and leading project teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

About the Project:

FBGCC is developing a new upscale commercial event and banquet venue in Frisco, Prosper & Celina, Texas. The project is currently in the planning and pre-development stage and will include an

approximately 18,000-SF commercial facility with a distinctive glass event hall, commercial kitchen, guest facilities, bride and groom areas, offices, outdoor event space, landscaping, and associated

site improvements.

We are looking for a talented and motivated Architectural Designer / Revit Designer to assist our development team with architectural concepts, drawings, 3D modeling, visualization, and design

coordination.

This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced architecture student or recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on experience on a real commercial development project from concept through

permitting and construction coordination.

  • Developing architectural floor plans and building layouts

  • Designing and refining the glass banquet/event hall concept
  • Ballroom and guest circulation planning
  • Commercial kitchen and back-of-house layout coordination
  • Bride/groom suites, offices, restrooms and support spaces
  • ADA/accessibility layout coordination
  • Preliminary life-safety and egress diagrams under professional guidance
  • Creating high-quality 3D renderings and presentations
  • Developing interior and exterior visualization concepts
  • Coordinating architectural layouts with civil, structural and MEP consultants
  • Incorporating owner and consultant comments into drawing revisions
  • Assisting with coordination of the prefabricated/glass structural system and overseas manufacturer drawings
  • Preparing presentation materials for ownership, consultants and project meetings

Software Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • Autodesk Revit – Required
  • AutoCAD – Required
  • Enscape – Preferred
  • SketchUp – Preferred
  • Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign – Helpful
  • BIM coordination experience – A plus

Professional Oversight:

This is an architectural designer/production position, not an Architect-of-Record position. The candidate will work with the project team and appropriately licensed architects/engineers. Final professional services, code determinations, engineering, permitting documents, and signed/sealed work will remain under the responsibility of the applicable Texas-licensed professionals.

Compensation:

Paid contract / part-time position.

Compensation may be structured as:

  • Hourly compensation, or
  • Fixed compensation by agreed project phase/deliverable
  • Rate will depend on the candidate's experience, portfolio, Revit proficiency and availability.
  • There may be an opportunity for continued work as the project progresses through design, permitting and construction.

SLI Group, Inc. is seeking an Interior Designer with 10+ years commercial experience and a Junior Interior Designer with 1-5 years experience. Applicants must be enthusiastic and independently driven within a very collaborative work environment. A bachelor's degree in interior design with NCIDQ certification eligibility is preferred.

Duties for this full time position include working on the project design process from start to finish, interfacing with clients, collaborating with architects and project managers, managing multiple projects with short deadlines and more. You can expect to work on a combination of commercial interior design projects primarily in the financial, education, retail, medical, office and religious fields.

Planner

Detailed description of the job:

Under general supervision of the Development Services Manager, the Planner is responsible for coordinating and managing all planning and technical services related to planning, zoning, subdivisions and general development of the City.

The Planner must perform duties including, but not limited to: complex short and long range planning; developing and implementing various projects; conducting research, collecting data and writing reports for presentations and projects; monitoring and supervising direct reports and assigned projects; and developing recommendations on various planning and zoning issues.
